New Milestone Reached

We’re delighted to share that we’ve reached a new milestone in our fundraising collaboration with Ruby Seeto for Starship. With help from our wonderful and generous customers, we’ve raised over $750,000 for the Starship Foundation. So, we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported this worthy cause, because every little gesture can make a big difference. Thank you, it means the world to us and more importantly to the young patients and families of Starship.

Projects We’ve Supported

Ruby Seeto has been working with us since 2009, when she was an 11 year old cancer survivor, designing colourful tea towels to raise funds for Starship. Every year, Ruby creates a new design which is produced and sold by Wallace Cotton. $6 from the sale of every tea towel and $4 from the sale of every washcloth set is donated directly to the Starship Foundation. The funds we’ve raised have supported vital projects including improvements to the Neurology ward, a refurbishment of the Phlebotomy Laboratory, establishing an ovarian cryopreservation banking protocol to benefit young cancer patients and the upgrade of the Children’s Emergency Department staff tearoom. Proceeds from Ruby’s Starship Soda Tea Towel will help fund a new research project ‘Kōrero Pono’, aiming to provide critical insight into whānau experiences of child cancer services.

2024 Design Coming Soon….

Our team is busy behind the scenes working on producing Ruby’s new design for release later this year. We can’t reveal what is it but we can tell you that her new design (and recipe) is both pretty and delicious. We look forward to sharing her new Starship Tea Towel with you in spring 2024.
