Meet Our Mothers

Happy Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day provides an opportunity to reflect on the joys and lessons of being a parent. Our team members’ families range from new parents to doting grandparents. We lean on each other for advice, share tales of our wild and wonderful children, and find comfort in the shared experience of parenthood.

In celebration of Mother’s Day, we gathered thoughts on motherhood from our team of beautiful mums. Read on to meet our team and discover how they’re celebrating Mother’s Day this year.

Meet: Sarah, Copywriter

Q: Who makes up your family?
A: My husband and our two grown up children.

Q: Describe your perfect Mother’s Day to us
A: A perfect Mother’s Day would be enjoying a sleep in followed by breakfast in bed and then a long late lunch with my family at a favourite restaurant. Basically, lots of eating and not doing any dishes!

Q: What do mums really want for Mother’s Day?
A: Sleep! And the peace and quiet to get the sleep.

Q: What has surprised you the most about motherhood?
A: How quickly the years pass - before you can catch your breath, your children have grown up.

Q: Does your family have any rituals or traditions for Mother’s Day?
A: We like to keep Mother’s Day (and Father’s Day) simple with breakfast in bed, handmade cards and small gifts.

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received from another fabulous mum?
A: Slow down, keep it simple and enjoy the little things – they’re often the most special moments.

Meet: Vicky, Merchandise Manager

Q: Who makes up your family?
A: My wonderful Husband, and two gorgeous kids.

Q: Describe your perfect Mother’s Day to you.
A: A sleep in and no arguing from the kids! I love to be doing things, so having a fun family day and little adventures with them is amazing. Also sharing the day with the wonderful mums in my life and making sure they feel special.

Q: What do mums really want for Mother’s Day?
A: To feel appreciated and showered with cuddles.

Q: What has surprised you the most about motherhood?
A: I never quite realised just how much my Mum did for me until I had kids of my own, it was then that I truly appreciated the unconditional love she has for me. She’s been such a role model in my life and I hope that I’m just as much an inspiration to my kids as she is to me.

Q: Does your family have any rituals or traditions for Mother’s Day?
A: Mum has a day off…no dishes or cooking

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received from another fabulous mum?
A: Amazing mothers are not the ones that have never struggled, they are the ones that never give up despite the struggles.

Meet: Anna, Graphic Designer

Q: Who makes up your family?
A: My husband and our two girls.

Q: Describe your perfect Mother’s Day to us
A: A perfect Mother’s Day would be enjoying a cup of tea in bed with a magazine and a yummy breakfast at home. Then taking my mum out for lunch and ending the day with a lovely glass of wine and celebratory family dinner cooked by my husband.

Q: What do mums really want for Mother’s Day?
A: A day of no chores. Bliss.

Q: What has surprised you the most about motherhood?
A: How many adventures we continue to have together.

Q: Does your family have any rituals or traditions for Mother’s Day?
A: See 2nd question above

Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve received from another fabulous mum?
A: ‘When in doubt - go out’ – from my sister.
For times when our toddlers were a handful and we were too tired to parent – a walk to the park or beach, a trip to the zoo, visit to friends or family – just changed the perspective.
