When once asked how to describe our brand, founder Paula Wallace had one word: ‘love’. If you’ve ever been into one of our stores, met our amazing retail team, chatted with our customer service crew or received an online shopping parcel, you’ll know what she’s talking about. Everything about our brand comes from a place of love. From the hours spent designing our iconic prints, through to offering our collections to our customers in our stores and online, our team is passionate about creating and sharing the beauty of Wallace Cotton. And we would love for you to be a part of it.

Why work for Wallace Cotton?

We’re a home grown family-based business with an incredibly passionate team. Our founders and directors are still involved in the daily running of Wallace Cotton which creates an inclusive family feel that we’re proud of. We love working together to create beautiful designs and deliver exceptional customer service and every team member is valued and appreciated for their contributions.

We’ve recently moved to a brand new head office location which includes our huge warehouse and gorgeous flagship store in Rosedale, Auckland. We have eight retail stores around New Zealand which are beautiful places to work with our fun and friendly retail teams. If you join us at Wallace Cotton, you’ll become eligible for such goodies as staff discounts, monthly specials and a paid days annual leave for your birthday. And at head office we stop work every day at 10.30am to share morning tea together, sometimes with home baking!

Our company structure is made up of several departments and smaller teams with specific roles, each responsible for delivering a wonderful Wallace Cotton experience for our customers. Our teams work together to design, create, source, ship, market, dispatch and sell our beautiful collections instore and online. Q: What do you love most about working for Wallace Cotton?
A: The first thing that comes to mind is the people. Everyone here is so friendly and it is a very family based business which we all feel a part of – Brooklyn.

Q: What advice do you have for someone joining the team?
A: Just be yourself and enjoy your time within the Wallace Cotton Family – Matt.

Q: What do you love most about working for Wallace Cotton?
A: Lots of things! I love the friendly working environment and feeling like the work I do is meaningful. I love that company decisions can be made and implemented in real time (sometimes even at our morning tea get togethers), not at the painfully slow pace of a huge corporate. There’s a culture where everyone is listened to and their work recognised and valued. People are given the opportunity to share ideas and shine - Sarah.

Q: What advice do you have for someone joining the team?
A: Spend time getting to know people in other teams as well as your own, we’re a fun bunch! And RSVP ‘yes’ to the staff Christmas party – it’s always a great night of celebrating and socialising - Sarah.
