Weekend entertaining
Gather round
Plan an evening get together to enjoy spending time with friends or family this weekend. From preparing your home and the menu to cleaning up and falling into bed, discover our easy-to-follow tips for entertaining.

The prep
Prepare your home for hosting guests with a quick clean, fresh hand towels in the bathroom and a fragrant candle in the smallest room in the house. Lay the table with plates, cutlery, napkins and glassware, add fresh flowers or foliage and more candles for the finishing touch. Prepare a drinks tray with fizzy water and non-alcoholic options, a little dish of sliced lemon, glassware and ingredients to create your cocktail of choice or an ice bucket with chilled wine. Begin kitchen prep to reduce time spent in the kitchen after your guests have arrived.

The menu
Our motto is ‘keep it simple’ and prepare dishes you know well to reduce stress or mishaps in the kitchen. Here are our menu recommendations for easy weekend entertaining.
Starter: a cheese and charcuterie board or a light soup with crusty bread.
Main: eye fillet steak with roast veges and a green salad or green veges.
Dessert: plum cake served with ice cream or coconut yoghurt (see our recipe in the link below).

The clean up
While it’s tempting to leave the clean-up until morning, there is nothing nicer than waking up to a clean and tidy kitchen the next day. So once your guests have departed, pour yourself another glass of wine (or water if you’re more sensible!), turn up the music and begin the clean-up. For doing the dishes in style, our linen tea towels are perfect for drying glassware.

And so to bed...
After a steaming hot shower or relaxing soak in the tub, pop on fresh PJs and fall into bed. Our sleepwear collections offer mix and match pieces crafted from natural and breathable fabrics that are soft and comfortable to wear. Just perfect for a slow start after entertaining the evening before. Night night x
