Layers we love to style with checked and striped bedding

Our in-house stylist Michelle offers her tips for styling striped and checked bedding with layering pieces.
1. For a peaceful monochromatic scheme, choose a quilt or throw (or both) and accent cushions in a similar colour palette to your checked or striped duvet cover. This scheme offers simple serene style for a timeless look in every season.
2. For an eclectic look, mix patterned and textured styling layers with your checked or striped bedding. For example, start with a checked duvet cover then layer striped European pillowcases in a contrasting shade along with two extra standard pillowcases in a floral or botanical print. For the final touch, style a throw in a grounding, deeper hue than the duvet cover – picking up on a colour from the patterned pillowcases. It’s easy to swap out these styling pieces to celebrate and recognise the change in seasons.
