How to create a mattress template
Follow the steps below to create a mattress template for every berth that requires bed linen.
Draw your mattresses
Draw an approximate shape of each mattress you need bed linen for. Include any odd corner shapes or if the mattress is straight on one side and curved or tapered on the other side. Many multiple cabin berths are straight through the middle where there is a walkway through the cabin, then shaped on the other side to accommodate hull shape or other cabins.
Name each mattress drawing to they can be easily identified when we make your boat linen, ie: port side forward port cabin, starboard side port cabin, aft starboard guest cabin, main cabin and so on.
Add your measurements
Measure the length
Measuring length in cms from head to foot at longest
point, plus at shortest point if mattress an odd shape.
Measure the width
Measure width in cms at head and foot plus extra widths if mattress tapered or shaped from head to foot or wider through the middle.
Measure the depth
Measure the mattress depth in cms without squashing the mattress.
