A duvet and duvet cover are the same thing. A duvet or duvet cover is made from two pieces of fabric sewn together along three sides with one side, usually the end, left open so you’re able to place your duvet inner inside the cover. Most duvet covers will have a button closure at the open end to prevent your duvet inner from sliding out of the cover. A comforter is another name for a quilt. Comforters are usually made from two pieces of fabric with a cotton filling or polyester batting in-between. These three layers are stitched together along all four sides with further quilting stitching in a pattern across the comforter to hold the fill in place.

Avoid using fabric softeners and do not use bleach. Turn delicate items inside out for laundering to help protect any embroidery detail. Line dry in the shade where possible as too much sunlight will ‘cook’ your bed linen making it difficult to iron and will fade coloured prints. Warm iron.
