Loving your linen
Purchasing good quality sheets, quilts, duvet inners, duvet covers and pillows is an investment. It’s worth taking the time to care for your bed linen, to make sure it lasts.
If you're ever unsure how to launder one of our products, read the reverse side of the Wallace Cotton label for our easy to follow care instructions.

Linen cupboard tips
Having three sets of linen for each bed helps manage the laundry mountain. One on the bed, one in the wash and one in the linen cupboard.
For each bed in your home, group the linen together by size to make it easier to find. You can use our handy cotton drawstring laundry bags to organise sheets, duvets and pillowcases.
Our sheets and duvet covers have size labels stitched into the inside corner seams to help you identify them easily.
Store off-season duvet inners in our large laundry bags.
It’s good for bedding to have room to breathe so avoid over stuffing your linen cupboard. Have a regular spring clean and taking any unused items to a charity or goodwill store.
Use pretty storage boxes to stack pillowcases in, or for overflow items from your bathroom such as spare face cloths, hand soap or moisturiser.
Pop one of our scented stones into your linen cupboard to keep your bedding smelling gorgeous.
Laundering your linens
Most of our range prefers a cold machine wash with a mild detergent.
Avoid washing with bleaches, enzyme detergents or fabric conditioner.
To maintain colour, turn bed linen inside out to launder and dry in the shade.
To help keep whites white, add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to your wash.
Fold bedding straight off the washing line while it is flat and fresh.
For best results, iron cotton bed linen while slightly damp using a steam iron.
P.S. Every Wallace Cotton collection has a care label specific to the fabric the product is made from. Please follow these laundering instructions carefully to ensure your product will be enjoyed for years to come.

Keeping your feathers fluffed and plumped
To keep your feather inners and pillows light and fluffy, regularly air them and give them warm doses of sunshine. This helps maintain loft and reduces moisture. If the sunshine is on holiday, spin your feather inner or pillow in a warm dryer once a month for five minutes maximum, to maintain loft.
To wash your feather and down inners and pillows, we recommend to dry clean only. It's important to make sure your dry cleaner knows how to clean feather and down products correctly.

Top tips for towels
To look after your new towels, we recommend pre-soaking them in cold water for a few hours before washing. This helps activate the absorbency of the fibres.
Wash colours separately.
Wash in cold water.
Avoid washing with bleaches, enzyme detergents or fabric conditioner.
For lovely fluffy towels, line dry until slightly damp then tumble dry.
