Ruby's Tea Towel

The Ruby Tea towels have now sold out. Thank you to everybody who purchased the Tea towels, we were overwhelmed with the response and have now sold our second shipment, and are unable to order any more. We hope to be able to help Ruby and Starship with another fundraising initiative next year.
Wallace Cotton are proud to be supporting budding young textile designer Ruby Seeto with her fantastic Tea towel design, with proceeds from the sales of the Tea towel going to The Starship Foundation. Ruby and her family have been through a difficult few years after the discovery of a rare form of cancer on Ruby's liver, at the age of 9. She has undergone major surgery and 12 months of chemotherapy at Starship Hospital in Auckland. Ruby is now aged 12, and is healthy, happy, and back at school.
Ruby decided to help Starship raise funds last year and designed a teatowel, which was sold through her family and school. At Wallace Cotton, we thought it was such a wonderful idea, we offered to help Ruby produce a second Tea towel, and sell it through our stores and on our website. The Tea towels will retail for $10.00, and $6.00 (which is all the proceeds after costs) from the sale of every Tea towel will go to Starship.
Paula Wallace says "It has been a great privilege working with Ruby on her Tea towel, it reminds me of starting my own textile design career back in the early Eighties. The colourful Cupcake design says a lot about Ruby's positive and bright personality, and is a perfect theme for a Tea towel. We need everyone to support Ruby and Starship by buying Tea towels for their friends and family. I am sure there will be lots of kids lining up to dry the dishes with her work and make the cupcakes from her recipe. We have really enjoyed working with Starship to produce the Tea towel, it is such a great cause, and helps hundreds of families like Ruby's each year.'
